Celebrating Women International Day 2020

As part of Raya’s commitment to promote workforce diversity and provide an enabling and inclusive working environment, we celebrate every year Women’s International Day, making a special day for our employees. Aligning with UN Women theme 2020, #Each for Equal, our employees had the opportunity to attend workshops discussing beauty, acceptance and resilience. This year, we have collaborated with Ahl Masr Foundation that supports the victims of accidents and burns. We had as a guest speaker, Hagar Alaa, a young activist and ambassador for young girls and women who are victims of burn injuries and subject to discrimination and harassment.  Hager shared her inspiring story and how she overcame the challenges as a victim of severe burns at a young age. Further, we organized in our premises “Women Like Us Bazar” with the purpose to encourage female entrepreneurs to exhibit their products and achievements.
