“BariQ” participates in the “EGYPLAST” exhibition and announces its new year 2020 strategy
BariQ, a subsidiary of Raya Holding For Financial Investments, announced its participation in Egypt international exhibition for plastics and rubber products for exporting “EgyPlast” for the second year in a row from the 9th of January to the 12th at the Egypt International Exhibition Center-5th settlement.
BariQ is one of the leading companies in the field of plastic recycling, which was established in 2012 with a total investment capital equal to approximately 150 million Egyptian Pounds. The “EgyPlast” exhibition was able, during the past years, to host all of those who are interested in the field of manufacturing plastic and petrochemicals globally and locally to the Egyptian markets, which is highly increasing and leading Egypt to become the top country in Africa, in manufacturing plastic and petrochemicals.
The exhibition is held and organized by the Egyptian Plastic Exporters & Manufacturers Association under the auspices of Egyptian Ministry of Industry and Trade, which is sponsored by the patronage of the Plastic and Rubber Division and the Export Council for Chemical Industries.
Engineer Usama Zaki, BariQ CEO and managing director, expressed his great happiness to participate in the exhibition, which reflects the importance of plastic, and petrochemicals manufacturing, which has a remarkable role in the economic growth in the country, along with BariQ that is making constant effort in raising awareness of plastic recycling and its significance in the environment. The company has recently received the official approval of being a valid product to be used in food from the Egyptian Organization for Standards & Quality, assuring that BariQ factory of 15 thousands meters, respects and the International European, American and Egyptian guidelines and conditions.
BariQ, recycles one billion and 6 million PET bottles that are provided to top quality food-grade pellets to major international and food container makers, in addition, it exports 100% of its products to European and American markets that led BariQ to achieve great success and receive international certificates such as EFSA, Health Canada and FDA.
Engineer Zaki has also added that BariQ considers EgyPlast exhibition a great opportunity to meet with current and new potential customers, and during the exhibition, the company will be working on its new strategy to be implemented in the local and global markets.
The company is aiming to reach the highest standards that matches the global directions, of increasing the recycled content in food packaging. Therefore, BariQ in May 2019 installed the latest optical sorting machine in the flakes stage to achieve the highest quality standards in the final product.
